Thinking About Life
I used to use this blog for school purposes only. However with my freshman year behind me, and the rest of summer still ahead, I figured that I would use my blog site for personal reasons that could possibly be tuned into both school and life. I was thinking the other day about life. About how if just goes by a lot of people and before they know it, time is up. Especially in this world today, in my generation, and even my parents generation. Technology has seperated us from the rest of the world, and from everything good and natural, Godly you might call it. Last night my mom and I were trying to ask my dad if he could take me to grab some dinner and then drop me off at the park to hang out with my friends. He mumbled something and looked back down at his iPhone. Not that my dad is a bad parent by any means, it just made me think about how this technology we have today gets in the way of life. Technology today makes a huge difference in every field of study, work, and just life. Don't get me wrong, some technology we have found are wonderful, they help us do things we couldn't possibly do on our own. Medical advancements have saved lives and that is wonderful... but if you look on the other side, a lot of technology has been created for recreational purposes, and has taken too much of our attention away from the things that really matter. I, being a young adult, am addicted to my cell phone. I hardly go over 100 minutes on it a month, but I send and receive nearly 5,000 text messages. That is not a lot compared to a lot of other teens. Truly I think that is just sad. Within 25 years we will have lost complete contact with all others, we will go to school online and we wont hear eachothers voices but rather read eachothers words.

Hannah-how true it is...interpersonal communication-that human to human contact seems to be falling slowly. But people have the choice to pull away from their tech. I will miss you this next year and keep using your blog to reflect. Comp
